“The project to open a new restaurant and bar was on the table. The principal idea was to serve, in Montreal, food and products from the “terroir” such as maple alcohol. The name Caribou was chosen to express a contrast between the metropolis and forest territories. The logotype itself is inspired by some western typography and Art Deco. The alcohol bottles are identified with the same system as maple syrup, depending of their characteristics. Simple and effective.”
